GimpShop 2.8

I tried out GimpShop 2.8 as a hopeful replacement for a client that uses a version of PhotoShop that was developed for Windows 98. He has some very strict rules as he runs an antique mortar shop and Ebay store. He has been doing the exact same thing with his pictures for his sales for years. He does the same steps in the same order every time. I was turned off immediately when I tried to download the software. The site asked me twice to use their own super special downloader. I got passed that and started the download. It was a quick download that was just the .exe to start the real download. So, strike two comes when I start the real download and it starts asking if I want this software or that other software. I hate the way these are packaged. Most people do not read what is on the screen and end up with bloatware. Finally I have the program installed with no bloat. It starts up quick. I close all of the toolbars and menus. M client cannot stand these. I close and reopen the program, no menus, no toolbars. This is great. I am able to drag pictures right in the window and work with them. The controls are fast and I am able to do everything he needs done with the same tools just in a little different place. I think it is much faster than his ancient version of PS. I will now start my mission to convert him. The software itself is great, I only with they would change how it is delivered.
